Located just outside the quaint village of Lion's Head, this large upper level apartment has spectacular views of Lion's Head and Georgian Bay. It occupies the entire upper level of the home. Large windows in both the living room and master bedroom overlook the Bay and beach below.
It has an open concept living room, dining room and kitchenette. The master bedroom has a large bathroom with shower, tub and walk in closet.
It has a large wrap around deck with glass railings, the ideal spot for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine while watching sail boats pass by on the Bay.
It is accessible via a private set of stairs leading to the deck.
The property also has lovely gardens as well as an additional deck on the beach accessible via a set of stone stairs.
The apartment is available for short term rentals (minimum 3 day stay or increments of a week) from May to the end of October and is ideal for two people who appreciate quiet and nature.
No children or pets
The apartment is conveniently located on the Bruce Trail, near the village of Lion's Head. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of walking into the village to dine, shop or spend the afternoon on a sandy beach. Lion's Head has many amenities including a grocery store, pharmacy, hospital, Home Hardware, LCBO and variety of restaurants. It also has a sandy beach park and marina. The area is ideal for the kayaking, hiking, rock climbing and biking. It is a 35 min. drive from Tobermory to the north or 30 min. drive to Wiarton in the south.
Lion's Head hosts a Farmer's Market on Saturdays from 9 - 12 am from June to October.
Harbourside Music at the Beach takes place Friday's from 7 - 8:30 pm in July and August.
Bayside Astronomy occurs every Friday and Saturday evening at dusk from June 30th to September 2nd. Offered by the Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association and the Municipality of Northern Bruce, this FREE program begins with a short star talk at dusk, followed by viewing of the night sky through volunteer telescopes. https://www.facebook.com/darksky.astronomy
The owners enjoy a peaceful and quiet atmosphere and reside on the lower level of the home which is also the studio/gallery of Canadian Artist Margarethe Vanderpas. Guests are welcome to visit the studio/gallery during their stay.
